Tipdish: Bowing Out

After some soul searching I recently sent the following e-mail to the StartupWeekend Houston / TipDish team.

Dear TipDishers,

After some thought it has become clear to me that I can not add the
value I would like to add to the team from Austin. I see my greatest
assets as vision, leadership, and business development. While I
probably could bring some technical skills to the table, my real
passion is for the former.

I therefore bid all of you a fond farewell. It was fun!

Best of Luck,
Marcus

P.S. If you are ever going to be in Austin please drop me a line… I
would love to meet up.

It will be interesting to see how many participants stick with these StartupWeekends after the big bang, or whether your choice is the norm.

Your experiences and questions were very thought-provoking. I posted some ideas on a few of your questions here (on how the weekend-only participants, the “StartupWeekend Warriors”, can receive fair compensation without encumbering the Go-Forward team).
